Ain Tabuk or Ain Sukkar is a spring located in the city of Tabuk, located in the northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The history of the spring dates back to the period of the mission of the Prophet Muhammad, and has continued since that date until now.
The spring is located to the southwest of Tabuk Castle, and the pilgrims coming from the Levant used to come to that spring and rest next to it. The ruins of Ain Tabuk consist of Ain Sukkar and the spring of the ponds built on it. It was a spring with little water when the Prophet Muhammad came to Tabuk, then its water flowed on his hand, and it continued to be a source of water in Tabuk throughout the periods of Islamic history. The Rightly-Guided Caliph Omar bin al-Khattab ordered Ibn Ghraid to cover it for fear that the sand would bury it.
