Hadaj Well
Hadaj Well, one of the most famous wells in the Arabian Peninsula, is located in the northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the city of Tayma. It has a spring in its southern corner that still feeds it to this day. The mouth of the well is wide, with a diameter of 15 meters (50 feet) and a depth of 12 meters (40 feet). It has an irregular circular shape, lined with stones. It has become an example of generosity, so the generous man was described as “Hadaj Tayma”. The well is located in the middle of the old town within a circular frame of tall palm trees. It is believed that the well dates back to the first millennium BC.
