Harrat Al-Harrah Reserve is considered the first in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a natural wildlife reserve, established under the auspices of the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development. It extends over a wide area of ​​a volcanic plateau. It is characterized by many plains, valleys, and wonderful sand dunes. It also contains many excellent rocks carved by nature. It extends east of Wadi Al-Sirhan; ​​the area of ​​this reserve is 13,775 square kilometers. The surface of this reserve consists of a volcanic plateau with many black basalt rocks in addition to a group of low volcanic mountains ranging in height from 800 to 1150 meters above sea level.

Harrat Al-Harrah Reserve is located in the northern region extending over the Al-Jawf region. The reserve has several entrances, and the main building of the reserve is 94 kilometers from the city of Tarif in the northern border. Many trees are spread in this reserve, the most important of which are the tamarisk, tamarisk, and osaj trees. The source of water in this reserve is the valleys and flood waters .

King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve was established in 2018 to be used in preserving and developing the natural existence for the use of environmental sustainability. King Abdulaziz Reserve includes within its borders Tanhat Meadow, the largest meadow in the Kingdom in terms of area, where acacia, sidr, chrysanthemum, buttercup and lavender trees abound. A number of valleys run through it, namely Wadi Al-Shawki, Wadi Al-Tayri, Wadi Al-Atak and Wadi Al-Wadi, in addition to Al-Khafs Meadow and the surrounding areas, which are a natural environment suitable for the resettlement of wild animals and plants, by including them within the framework of protection from hunting, overgrazing and firewood cutting in the region, increasing and protecting the vegetation cover, developing and preserving the natural environment for animals and plants, and restoring the ecological balance within the reserve.

Azlm Castle

Al-Azlam or Al-Aznam Castle is a historical fortress in the Duba Governorate in the Tabuk region, northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its construction dates back to the fourteenth century AD, and was established by land movement on the Egyptian coastal Hajj Road, in a site known as Al-Aznam, which was designated as a resting place for pilgrims traveling to Mecca.

The castle is square in shape, built of limestone, and its location on a high hill gave it further fortification. Its walls are 7 meters high and 90 meters long, and are made of carved stone courses. It has an entrance leading to a courtyard that combines the inner rooms topped with semi-circular domes. The castle includes four towers designed on two levels, ground and upper.

Al-Shuwaihatiya Archaeological Site

Al-Shuwaihatiyah Archaeological Site is one of the ancient archaeological sites in the Al-Jawf region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located 45 km northwest of the city of Sakaka. Some of the archaeological finds date back to the Oldowan civilization in the Paleolithic era 1.3 million years ago.

A number of stone tools were found there, classified as dating back to the pre-Acheulean civilization. Among the artifacts discovered at the site are: stone knives, hammers, and arrowheads. On the outskirts of the site is a small plateau with rock drawings of camels, ibex, and hunting scenes, and a picture of three men riding camels, along with straight geometric lines.

In 1439 AH/2018 AD, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (at that time) approved the survey of the Shuwaihatiya archaeological site, with the aim of monitoring archaeological phenomena and data, paying attention to archaeological sites, creating tourist routes in the region that serve tourism development, and adding new job and investment opportunities that contribute to economic activity in the region.
